The book contains many influences that I would consider to be typical of certain distinct genres, yet the influences are all blended together into this read in a way that makes the them contrast with each other to ultimately make “Brooklyn’s Song” a very unique and definitely, in my opinion, more than worthwhile book that is hard to put a singular label on.One of the most prominent features of the book that stood out to me is how well the chemistry between Song and Brooklyn is executed. Individually as characters they both stand out in their own way due to having a wide variety of unique strengths and weaknesses and as a result, when they come together their relationship genuinely seems realistic and dynamic as their individual defining traits contrast with the others. As well as this, I also must note that their interactions with each other are tasteful and not over-the-top in anyway.Overall, I’m impressed with author Sydney Arrison’s book and I can definitely see myself reading more of her work in the future. In my opinion, as a huge fan of the thriller and romance genres, I think the author has crafted this book in a way that offers readers ‘the best of both worlds’ and I hope to see her continue with this writing formula/style in the future.

this was a good read....I'm an avid romance reader and i enjoyed the way the story unfolded and came to fruition. it's a love story and it's well written. I'd not read anything by this author before but I liked the title so I clicked it and read. it drew me in in the first chapter. i think I read it in two days because i didn't want to put it down.

It took a minute for it to get good. Some small parts felt rushed or they just lacked detail. Like the end felt unnecessary. The formatting was a bit off on the app. Like it could have ended at the superman part. I loved the characters though, especially Mattice. Overall the book was pretty good and not at all what I was expecting which is a positive.

I overall really liked the book. Song and Brooklyn were a great match. I just wished the character traits of some of the characters were a little better

The story line captured me from the very beginning and I had a difficult time putting it down each page just left me feeling like I had to keep reading because I had to find out what was next.As someone with very little time in my day I found this book worth ever minute of the time I devoted to reading it.But hey don't take my word for it buy it and read it fir yourself you won't be disappointed I know I wasn't.

John R. W. Stott (1921-2011) has been known worldwide as a preacher, evangelist and communicator of Scripture. For many years he served as rector of All Souls Church in London, where he carried out an effective urban pastoral ministry. A leader among evangelicals in Britain, the United States and around the world, Stott was a principal framer of the landmark Lausanne Covenant (1974). Stott's best-known work, Basic Christianity, has sold two million copies and has been translated into more than 60 languages. About the Author

C. Augustus “Gus” Martin is a Professor of Criminal Justice Administration at California State University, Dominguez Hills, where he regularly teaches a course on the subject of terrorism and extremism. He has also served as Associate Vice President for Human Resources Management, Acting Associate Dean of the College of Business Administration and Public Policy, Associate Vice President for Faculty Affairs, and Chair of the Department of Public Administration & Public Policy. He began his academic career as a member of the faculty of the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, University of Pittsburgh, where he was an Administration of Justice professor. His current research and professional interests are terrorism and extremism, homeland security, administration of justice, and juvenile justice.

Dr. Martin is author of a number of books on the subjects of terrorism and homeland security, including Understanding Homeland Security (SAGE, 2016); Essentials of Terrorism: Concepts and Controversies (2016); Understanding Terrorism: Challenges, Perspectives, and Issues (SAGE, 2015); The SAGE Encyclopedia of Terrorism, Second Edition (SAGE, 2011); Terrorism and Homeland Security (SAGE, 2011); and The New Era of Terrorism: Selected Readings (SAGE, 2004). He is also author of Juvenile Justice: Process and Systems (SAGE, 2005).

Prior to joining academia, Dr. Martin served as Managing Attorney for the Fair Housing Partnership of Greater Pittsburgh, where he was also director of a program created under a federal consent decree to desegregate public and assisted housing. He was also Special Counsel to the Attorney General of the U.S. Virgin Islands on the island of St. Thomas. As Special Counsel, he occupied a personal and confidential position in the central office of the Department of Justice; sat as hearing officer for disciplinary hearings and departmental grievances; served as chair of the Drug Policy Committee; served as liaison to the intergovernmental Law Enforcement Coordinating Committee as well as to the Narcotics Strike Force; and provided daily legal and policy advice to the Attorney General. Prior to serving as Special Counsel, he was a “floor” Legislative Assistant to Congressman Charles B. Rangel of New York. As Legislative Assistant, he researched, evaluated and drafted legislation in areas of foreign policy, foreign aid, human rights, housing, education, social services, and poverty; he also drafted House floor statements, Congressional Record inserts, press releases, and news articles; and he composed speeches, briefing materials, and legislative correspondence.

About the Author
Ric Williams is a Professor of Ocean Sciences at Liverpool University. He has worked on a wide range of research problems in Ocean Sciences: how the ocean circulates, how heat is transported, how the supply of nutrients sustains phytoplankton growth and how carbon is partitioned between the atmosphere and ocean. He teaches two courses to undergraduates, 'Climate, Atmospheres and Oceans' and 'Ocean Dynamics'.

Mick Follows obtained a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of East Anglia in 1991. After a year as a Royal Society Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry in Mainz, Germany, he moved to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he is now a Senior Research Scientist in the Department for Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences. His research is focused on understanding the interplay of physical, chemical and biological processes which determines the distributions and fluxes of elements in the ocean.
