I've had a Russian tortoise for over 20 years but I still haven't found a really great book about this type of tortoise. This is the best one I've read. A lot of information, some pictures and helpful advice.
This book is the most state of the art in books of the breed; concise with plenty of food for thought as well as vital info. Magnificent content. Less photos and 100 times more info-the way a care book should be.
This didnt really go into detail about the diseases tortoises can get and what to do to prevent if anything can be done.
Pretty comprehensive book. Most of the information is basic, but it is more elaborate than what you will find on the internet. Easy to read.
My wife loves the book. I scanned through it. A lot of helpful stuff in it and great for a first time Tortoise owner such as ourselves.
